Oh, how I love the holiday season! This is when the events and happenings in the Hudson Valley Region get both festive and grand. There’s everything from world-class performances to delightful community craft fairs. Here’s a list of events that I think might appeal to you from light shows to ornament making.

Holiday Lights In Bloom At The Orange County Arboretum
Where: Montgomery, NY
Is there anything like meandering through beautiful gardens twinkling with lights? Nope! Admission is open between 5 and 7:30 PM nightly, what a great way to light up the dark night!

Windham Manor Holiday Market & Breakfast With Santa
Where: Windham, NY
A Thanksgiving weekend event for two good causes! Over 50 artisans and vendors, food trucks, a food bank donation station, and a Sunday brunch with pictures with Santa at Windham’s newest luxury destination. 100% of Sunday’s brunch proceeds will be donated to Windham’s local foster care program and Windham Manor is partnering with a local food bank to provide for those in need.
10th Annual Snowflake Festival
Where: Kingston, NY
We’re sponsoring this great event where visitors wander the streets of Uptown Kingston and encounter fire jugglers, fiddlers, shopping, carriage rides and, at our office at 268 Fair Street, free treats and cheer. We hope to see you!

40th Annual Woodstock Holiday Open House
Where: Woodstock, NY
It’s Woodstock’s 40th Annual Holiday Open House! Our favorite Woodstock shops will be open late to share the holiday spirit. Mrs. Claus face painting, portraits from students at WAAM, aromatherapy hand massages and tarot readings, a bonfire, LED light dancers, the tree lighting on the village green, and live music by The Rock Academy.

Holiday On The Lake 2022
Where: Carmel, NY
Holiday on the Lake in the Historic Hamlet of Carmel is happening December 3, 2022. The fun begins at 3PM with the new and exciting Christmas Village sponsored by the Knights of Columbus. Live Music/Entertainment/Parade/Tree Lighting/Santa Everyone is welcome to join the Santa Stroll benefitting the American Cancer Society at 6:15.

Newburgh Historical Society Candlelight Tour of Homes 2022
Where: Newburgh, NY
After a pandemic pause, the historic homes of Newburgh will once again be decked for the holidays with the return of the highly anticipated annual Candlelight Tour. The event features Newburgh spaces both public and private decorated out for the holidays. In addition to historic homes, this year the tour offers the chance to get inside some recently rehabilitated properties and new construction. The exact locations are kept under wraps until ticket buyers pick up their tour booklets on the day of the tour, December 11.
